About Mind Your Head
Our Mission and Our Journey
Recent research indicates that as many as one in ten children in Scotland suffer from a mental health problem. With treatment for youth under resourced, Mind Your Head aims to increase awareness of mental health issues and wellbeing among high school students in Scotland. Our mission is to get students to start thinking about mental health in the same way we think about physical health.
Mind Your Head first came to life in 2016 when we were approached by the mental health working group at North Berwick High School. We started out with a vague notion of an app that students could use to get informed about how they can take care of their mental health and wellbeing. The app was built around this idea and we collaborated to come up with some useful, informative and interactive content. We turned to the students to come up with a catchy name, and a simple but identifiable icon. After a lot of hard work, iterations and reviews, Mind Your Head was born.

Mind Your Head is now in use at North Berwick High School, with both students and teachers using the app as a resource. The hard work continues to keep the app up to date, the content relevant and engaging and to act on pressing feedback. At igo apps we are proud of the app that we have produced and we look forward to working with you to make Mind Your Head an app that we can all be proud of.
